Job summary

Daphnes, located in Kamrup Metropolitan, Assam, invites a skilled Bakery & Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. You will bake cakes, pastries, cookies, breads and desserts, ensuring consistency in taste, texture and presentation.

Develop new items based on customer preferences, maintain hygiene and stock, operate bakery equipment safely, and coordinate with service staff. Previous bakery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes, pastries, cookies, breads, desserts, and other bakery products as per standard recipes.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Develop and experiment with new bakery and pastry items based on customer preferences and menu requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of raw materials and finished products.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organization.
• Monitor ingredient usage, minimize wastage, and maintain proper stock levels.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and availability of products.
• Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow daily production schedules and meet required quantities within timelines.
• Train and guide junior bakery staff when required.
