Job summary

Invisia in Bengaluru seeks a senior backend engineer with 6-10 years of experience to own and scale complex systems using Node.js/TypeScript. You will work with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, leverage AWS services, and implement robust caching and messaging strategies.

The role requires hands-on expertise in databases, payment gateway integration, and observability tooling to ensure reliable, scalable production systems. 5 days office work in Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of backend engineering experience with clear examples of owning and scaling complex systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript and in-depth knowledge of data stores (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands-on with caching and messaging (Redis, SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with payment gateways, including reliability, idempotency and reconciliation.
• Building and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs at production scale.
• AWS experience across Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Elasticache, SES/SNS, API Gateway.
• Familiarity with event-driven programming and observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, Grafana.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

6-10 years of backend engineering experience with clear examples of owning and scaling complex systems

• Deep proficiency in at backend language (Node.js/TypeScript)
• Strong command of relational and non-relational databases; you know when to use each and how to optimise both
• Hands-on experience with caching layers (Redis or similar) and message brokers (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent)
• Payment gateway integration experience - you understand the reliability, idempotency, and reconciliation requirements that come with money movement (Preferred: Stripe)
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs at production scale
• AWS-specific experience (Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Elastic ache, SES/SNS, API Gateway)
• Familiarity with event-driven Programming
• Exposure to observability tools like Datadog, Splunk etc and log monitoring tools such as CloudWatch & Grafana
