Job summary

Codezyng is seeking a skilled Backend.NET Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable backend applications and services. The role includes building robust REST APIs, implementing business logic, and working with databases and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend apps and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core.
• Develop secure and scalable APIs for integrations with frontend and third-party systems.
• Implement JWT-based authentication and RBAC for secure APIs.
• Build and maintain microservices-based and event-driven architectures where applicable.
• Work with Azure Service Bus for asynchronous communication and processing.
• Integrate with internal/external systems and third-party services.
• Access data via EF Core, LINQ with SQL Server and Cosmos DB/NoSQL.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend.NET Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain scalable and reliable backend applications and services. The role will be responsible for developing robust REST APIs, implementing business logic, integrating backend services, and working with databases and cloud-based technologies.

The individual will work closely with Project Manager, Business Analysts, Senior Backend Developer, QA teams, Frontend/Mobile Developers, and other technical stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure applications meet functional, performance, security, and scalability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using C#, .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core.
• Develop secure and scalable APIs for frontend, mobile, and third-party system integrations.
• Implement JWT-based authentication and authorization, including role-based access control and secure API communication.
• Develop and maintain service-to-service authentication and communication between backend services.
• Design and implement microservices-based and event-driven architectures where applicable.
• Work with Azure Service Bus, including Queues, Topics, and Dead-Letter Queues (DLQ), for asynchronous communication and message processing.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems, APIs, and third-party services.
• Design and optimize data access using Entity Framework Core, LINQ, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB/NoSQL.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, Joins, Stored Procedures, Functions, and database indexes.
• Apply OOP, SOLID principles, and appropriate design patterns to build maintainable and reusable code.
• Use AutoMapper and other supporting libraries/frameworks to implement efficient application-layer and data-layer transformations.
• Containerize applications and services using Docker and support deployment within cloud-based environments.
• Implement appropriate application logging, monitoring, and error tracking using tools such as Sentry and Azure Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot and debug application, API, database, integration, and production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and follow established coding standards, development practices, and security guidelines.
• Collaborate with QA teams to investigate defects, resolve issues, and support successful application releases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical inputs during requirement analysis, solution discussions, effort estimation, and implementation planning.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core.
• Good experience in REST API development, backend integration, and service-oriented application development.
• Strong understanding of JWT authentication, authorization, and service-to-service authentication.
• Practical knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Event-driven Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Azure fundamentals and Azure Service Bus, including Queues, Topics, and DLQ.
• Good understanding of Docker and containerization concepts.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including Joins, Stored Procedures, Functions, Indexes, and query optimization.
• Experience with Cosmos DB / NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.
• Proficiency in LINQ, including complex queries.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and AutoMapper.
• Good troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
• Experience with logging and application monitoring tools, preferably Sentry and Azure Application Insights.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Story Points, and effort estimation.
