- remote friendly (IST) Full-timeNestJS — APIs, scoring engine, multi-tenant services
All roles are based in Jaipur, India — on-site only, not remote.
The role
You’ll own backend services for a live behavioural-science platform: NestJS APIs, a scoring engine that turns structured assessments into results people act on, and multi-tenant foundations that have to hold as the client's business grows. The systems are in production with real users — this is stewardship and evolution of a living codebase, not greenfield toys.
What you’ll do
- Design and build NestJS services: REST APIs, background jobs, integrations, and the scoring engine
- Own the data model — PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, and query performance in a multi-tenant world
- Keep tenancy boundaries, authorization, and data isolation airtight as features grow
- Ship in weekly sprints with tests where they count: business logic, scoring, auth, payments
- Review pull requests and mentor the junior backend engineer
What you bring
- 4+ years building production backend services in TypeScript/Node.js, with real NestJS experience
- Strong PostgreSQL: schema design, indexes, transactions, and the instinct for when the ORM is lying to you
- You’ve built or maintained multi-tenant systems and can talk concretely about isolation trade‑offs
- Comfort owning services in production: monitoring, debugging live issues, writing runbooks
- Strong written communication — decisions here get written down
Nice to have
- Experience with scoring/rules engines, assessment platforms, or similar domain‑logic‑heavy systems
- Redis, queues, and caching patterns under real load
- Exposure to LLM‑backed features from the service side (prompt orchestration, evals, cost control)
You’ll work with
NestJSNode.jsTypeScriptPostgreSQLRedis
What you get
- Senior‑led delivery: your work is reviewed by people who've shipped production systems, and you see how they think
- An AI‑native workflow — modern AI tooling is standard practice here, with human review as the quality bar
- Real products in production: client work that ships weekly and gets used, not internal demos
- Async‑first, writing‑heavy culture on IST, with deliberate US/EU overlap instead of late‑night calls
- Competitive compensation, reviewed on outcomes
