Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer Backend for contract work. You will design and implement scalable backend services and APIs, focusing on performance, reliability, and code quality.

The role is remote with a flexible 10-40 hrs/week commitment. Proficiency across Java/Node.js/Go/Rust/Python among others and strong CS fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, Typescript, Python, C++ or similar.
• Track record of building scalable services and APIs.
• Comfort with debugging, performance work, and automated testing.
• Solid code review instincts.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and foundational CS concepts.
