Job summary

RootPay Inc. is hiring a backend engineer to design and build scalable systems for high-volume financial transactions. You will develop clean, reliable APIs and work on event-driven architectures with AWS and Python-based tools.

You will collaborate with frontend and product teams to ship end-to-end features, while continually improving system performance, observability, and reliability. A focus on scalable design and data integrity is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in Python and API design.
• Experience with distributed systems or asynchronous processing.
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Understanding of system design, reliability, and scaling.
• Bonus: Experience with financial systems, ledgers, or payments.
