Job summary

JMJ Consultants is seeking a Backend Engineer in Bangalore to design and maintain scalable backend services powering mobile apps and analytics dashboards. The role focuses on Java-based development, RESTful APIs, and data modeling for high-performance systems.

You will work with product, frontend, database and DevOps teams to roll out features, optimize performance, and ensure robust data architectures across services.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of server-side application development experience with Java, writing production backend services at scale
• Experience in developing Spring based microservices (Docker + Kubernetes will be a plus)
• Experience in creating well documented RESTful APIs
• Experience in any one of the enterprise cloud hosting providers like Azure, AWS or GCP (Azure will be a plus)
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools
• Good understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design and Databases
• Deep understanding of SQL database architecture - data modeling and scalable schema design
• Exposure to NoSQL databases will be a plus
• Experience working with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle - architecture to testing
• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

About The Role/Responsibilities :

As a Junior Engineer in our engineering team, you will work closely with the rest of the team to develop and maintain the core services that power our mobile applications and analytical dashboards. You will work with databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.

As the engineer building the foundation of our systems, you will end up working with product, frontend, database and DevOps/infra teams to roll out new features and maintain the performance metrics.

Desired Experience / Background :
