HBSPL is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable server-side applications. You will build backend services, RESTful APIs, and manage databases while ensuring performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have strong backend programming, database management, and application security knowledge, and will collaborate with frontend teams to deliver robust software solutions.

About the Role

HBSPL is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable server-side applications. The role involves building backend services, developing RESTful APIs, managing databases, and integrating application components to ensure smooth system functionality. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend programming, database management, application security, and performance optimization. They will work closely with frontend developers and other technical teams to deliver efficient software solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve application quality and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities of Backend Developer

• Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications and backend services.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for web applications.
• Create and manage databases, ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and backend system errors.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection measures.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, C++ or C#.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and server-side application development.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; knowledge of MongoDB is an advantage.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, debugging, and testing practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, or microservices is an added advantage.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.

Education Qualification

Bachelor or Master degree in BE, B.Tech and B.Sc or a related field. Relevant technical knowledge and practical backend development skills are also valued.
