Job summary

adesso India is looking for a senior software engineer to develop MES software for lens manufacturing. You will implement system functions, controls and algorithms, and build unit tests to ensure good coverage.

The role operates in an Agile environment on Azure DevOps, with deployments to edge environments and cross-functional collaboration. You should have expert Java skills, 8+ years in software development, and hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, and design patterns.

Qualifications

• Expert programming in Java; strong distributed systems background.

• Proficient in debugging and monitoring.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Mandatory Skills

• Expert programming experience in Java
• Minimum 3 years developing distributed systems, microservice architecture preferred
• Advanced knowledge of software design patterns and software resilience patterns
• Software debugging and monitoring
• Knowledge of Linux environments
• Very good written and spoken English
• Strong teamwork with a customer and service-oriented working style
• First experience working in international teams
• Degree in computer science or business informatics, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 8 years in software development

Must Have

• Software development in Quarkus (preferred) or Java Spring
• Advanced Git for source code versioning
