StyleBuddy is building AI-powered technology for the fashion and ecommerce industry. We are seeking a hands-on Backend Engineer to help build the core technology powering our products.

You will work with founders, product and frontend teams to build scalable backend systems, APIs and core product features, and to ship production-ready solutions quickly.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python skills with Flask experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and backend architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party services.
• Willing to work from the office 3 days a week in Delhi or Bangalore.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend services using Python and Flask.
• Develop APIs and backend infrastructure powering StyleBuddy's products.
• Build core features across our AI, fashion intelligence, ecommerce and consumer products.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, AI/ML services and external platforms.
• Design and work with databases, data models and backend workflows.
• Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.
• Debug issues and ship production‑ready solutions quickly.
• Work closely with frontend, product and AI teams to turn ideas into working features.
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering decisions as the product scales.

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong Python skills with hands‑on Flask experience.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating APIs and third‑party services.
• Understanding of Git, cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, early‑stage startup.
• Ability to take ownership and ship features independently.
• Experience with AI/ML APIs, ecommerce or consumer products is a strong plus.
• Based in Delhi or Bangalore and willing to work from the office 3 days a week.
