Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking an experienced Backend Developer in Gurugram to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB. You will own API design, data models, and high-performance services.

The role requires 6+ years in backend development, proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with Express.js or NestJS, REST APIs, authentication, and CI/CD. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Node.js.
• Build secure, efficient, and well-documented RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Design and optimise MongoDB schemas, collections, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and queries.
• Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable code following software engineering principles.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, data validation, error handling, and security controls.
• Design architectures that support high availability, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across APIs, database operations, and services.
