Job summary

Alright TV is building an in-house design and backend team in Delhi to power a micro-drama OTT platform. We seek an execution-driven Backend Engineer to build scalable core infrastructure, optimize APIs for performance, and ensure backend reliability for a consumer-facing product.

You will own backend design, development, deployment, performance, and lifecycle management while collaborating with frontend, product, and data teams during peak traffic.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of backend development experience (consumer apps preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and API design.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, optimization).
• Experience with caching systems like Redis.
• Understanding of system design fundamentals (HLD/LLD).
• Experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code/Cursor/Copilot.

Responsibilities

Until now, we’ve worked with an external agency. We’re now building an in-house design team to move faster, think deeper, and shape a stronger product identity with dynamic interface.

The Role
