Job summary

Somewhere is seeking a Back-End Developer for a fully remote role with a growing US-based company. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance server-side systems for web and mobile applications.

You will work with Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, Java or similar, build RESTful APIs, manage databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and deploy with Docker and CI/CD pipelines. This is an independent contractor engagement with monthly USD pay and distributed collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional back-end experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• RESTful APIs and microservices architecture experience.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Knowledge of security practices (auth, encryption).
• Understanding of server-side logic, data structures, algorithms, and performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

$2,000 - $6,000 per month, paid in USD depending on experience.
