Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer in Chennai to architect, implement, and run enterprise cloud environments. You will design landing zones, manage EC2/EBS/S3, implement backups, and ensure security and compliance across multi-account setups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on AWS experience in design, deployment and operations.
• Experience with cloud security, cost optimization and DR/HA planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead AWS landing-zone design, migration and ongoing cloud operations.
• Manage EC2 lifecycle: provisioning, start/stop, resizing, decommissioning.
• Administer EBS, EFS, S3 incl. backups, lifecycle policies and snapshots.
• Create, hardened AMIs and golden images; patching via Systems Manager.
• Design and operate VPCs, subnets, routing, PrivateLink; support Direct Connect and VPN.
• Operate RDS and Aurora: backup, patching, scaling, performance tuning.
• Operate EKS clusters; manage node pools and governance.
• Support Lambda, App Runner, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge integrations.
• Lead monitoring, backup, health checks and disaster-recovery drills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AWS landing-zone design, migration, account onboarding and steady‑state cloud operations.
• Manage EC2 lifecycle, including provisioning, start/stop, resizing and decommissioning.
• Administer EBS, EFS and S3, including expansion, snapshots, backup and lifecycle policies.
• Create, harden and version‑control AMIs and golden images; coordinate patching through AWS Systems Manager.
• Design and operate VPCs, subnets, peering, routing and PrivateLink; support Direct Connect and Site‑to‑Site VPN.
• Operate RDS and Aurora services, including backup, patching, scaling and performance tuning.
• Operate EKS clusters, node pools and namespace or tenant governance.
• Support Lambda, App Runner, API Gateway, SQS, SNS and EventBridge integrations.
• Support AWS Bedrock endpoints, access, quotas and platform incident triage.
• Lead CloudWatch monitoring, backup, restore, health checks and disaster‑recovery drills.

Required Technical Expertise

• AWS EC2, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, ALB/NLB, RDS/Aurora, EKS, Lambda and API Gateway.
• AWS Organizations and OUs, landing zones, Route 53, KMS and Secrets Manager.
• Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions and Ansible.

Operations, Governance and Service Management

• Manage Incident, Problem and Change activities for P0-P3 tickets through ServiceNow.
• Meet SLAs and lead root‑cause analysis for P0/P1 events.
• Maintain tagging, quota and resource‑hierarchy governance.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, operational procedures and automation assets.

Preferred Training and Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
• ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation.

Success Profile

• Stable, secure and well‑governed production services.
• Timely incident resolution, effective RCA and reduction of recurring issues.

Repeatable automation, accurate documentation and clear operational reporting.
