Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced Azure OpenAI Architect/Developer with 10-15 years of experience to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale AI and Generative AI solutions. The role focuses on Azure OpenAI Services, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and Python-based AI application development across all Persistent locations.

You will architect scalable AI solutions, build secure cloud-native apps, optimize prompts, implement RAG systems with Azure AI Search, and mentor development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years in software engineering/architecture with 5+ years in AI/ML systems.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade solutions using Azure OpenAI Service.

• Design and develop enterprise-grade AI applications using Azure OpenAI and LLMs.

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Azure OpenAI Architect/Developer with 10-15 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale AI and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure OpenAI Services, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Python-based AI application development. This role involves architecting scalable, secure, and cloud-native AI solutions that help organizations accelerate innovation, automate business processes, and enhance customer experiences.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop enterprise-grade AI applications using Azure OpenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Architect and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Search and vector-based retrieval systems.
• Build intelligent AI agents and workflow orchestration solutions using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and modern agent frameworks.
• Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications for AI-powered platforms.
• Create and optimize prompt engineering strategies to improve AI model performance and response quality.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing AI solution architectures.
• Integrate AI services with enterprise applications, business systems, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and implementation planning.
• Drive DevOps best practices, CI/CD automation, and deployment strategies for AI applications.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership on AI and cloud-native technologies.
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in software engineering/architecture, with 5+ years in AI/ML systems.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade solutions using Azure OpenAI Service.
• Strong expertise in LLM architectures, including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and agent frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (Azure AI Search, Functions, Kubernetes, API Management, etc.).
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems (CRM, FSM, ERP, IoT).
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Enterprise & solution architecture
