Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Engineer to design, build, and operate hybrid Azure Platform solutions. You will automate deployments with Terraform, Python, and GitHub Actions, while applying strong security and governance practices.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects, and drive end-to-end automation using Terratest and CI/CD pipelines. Expect a fast-paced environment focused on scalable Enterprise Scale Landing Zones.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Requirements*

Engineer and optimize hybrid Azure Platform solutions, focusing on compute, network, storage, monitoring, and security.

Collaborate with Azure Platform engineers, architects, and other stakeholders in the implementation of an Enterprise Scale platform and Landing zones

Provide expertise in IT operations areas, such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, and governance, ensuring these areas align with the overall Azure Platform strategy.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, encouraging best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes.

Automate everything using Terraform, Shell, Powershell and Python. Demonstrate experience in Azure Network configuration and automation.

Develop test for infrastructure using Terratest, integration test and end to end testing.

To ensure knowledge articles of all supported systems are continually updated.

To provide a high level of customer service, whilst working under pressure.

To follow and adhere to established Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management procedures.

Builds a strong performing team, sets clear expectations and goals based on OKRs and KPls, manages execution, stays within budget, proactively solves issues.

Work alongside architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platforms.

Active involvement in decision making areas such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery and governance.

Working autonomously and use the opportunity to create exemplars, frameworks, or other platform products to enhance the ability of others to work autonomously or in collaborative way to use cloud and tooling ecosystems.

Apply DevOps principles in solving operational problems through extreme and innovative automations and solutions.

Design and drive roadmaps, outcomes, and collaborative projects. Translate vision into strategy.

Provide technical leadership for the team with limited guidance from management or senior teammates. Uses solid understanding of cloud, 6Rs of migration and emerging understanding of how that domain interacts with cloud products in the design of technical solutions.

Explores industry best practices and influences application of the most relevant and effective solutions in the activities performed day to day.
Monitor the environment by collecting data and providing analytics on customer behavior, performance, errors.

Focused on Efficiency, Automation and reducing manual tasks in Operations for both Apps and Infra

Improve the Reliability of system in production and fixing issues by digging into code, identify the issue and contribute a fix back to the code base.

Be an Escalation point for severity incident.
Update knowledge management procedures, handbooks, and Writing reports.

Contributing to the tool chain and shared stack managed byorchestras and fellowships and more generally taking an active rolein these engineering communities

Key Responsibilities*

designing, developing, and implementing single cloud, or hybrid Azure Platform solutions.
demonstrate deep knowledge in setting up Azure Enterprise grade platform and hands on experience with Microsofts Cloud Adoption Framework.
Hands on exposure on Azure cloud native components.
Implement agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaS) using tools like Terraform (MUST), and Github.
Knowledge of Bicep templates for infrastructure deployment.

building the CiCD solution from scratch to automate all steps involved in the end-to-end path to production for Application, including specific experience with Azure Functions, AppServices, and K8S.
Develop , design Azure DevOps / Github Actions (MUST)
application, infrastructure, performance monitoring and alerting using tools.
SOP to resolve incidents in production.
