Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative team in Chennai. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure resources, and enforce engineering standards across projects to ensure timely, high‑quality deliveries.

Ideal candidates bring strong IaC experience with ARM/Bicep/Terraform, Azure Policies, and robust Git workflows; familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenAI services is a plus. This role offers growth in a technology‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across Azure and GitHub.
• Hands-on with Azure services: App/Function/Logic Apps, Storage, SQL, Terraform, and IaC.
• Familiarity with policy enforcement, RBAC, and secure deployment practices.
• Banking/financial domain exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to fulfill daily DevOps requests.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Manage source code, branching, and release workflows.
• Provision and manage Azure resources per project needs.

• Troubleshoot builds, deployments, and production issues; document procedures.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer who can work effectively as part of a larger team to manage daily incoming requests and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing Azure services, and enforcing engineering standards and policies across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a larger cross‑functional team (developers, architects, testers, operations) to handle and deliver on daily DevOps requests.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control best practices (Azure Repos, Git).
• Own release management, including build, deployment, artifact management, and environment configuration.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources and services as per project requirements.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
• Enforce and monitor Azure Policies to ensure compliance and standardization across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in build, deployment, and production environments.
• Support migration initiatives, standardization efforts, and platform modernization activities.
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and manage workload, ensuring timely and quality delivery of all DevOps tasks.
• Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
