Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a senior DevOps platform engineer to design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines and platforms that support global enabling function products and services.

You will mentor engineers in CI/CD, automation, reliability, and operational excellence while collaborating with software engineering, platform, security, and architecture teams to ensure secure and scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps and platform engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in GitHub Actions, C#, JavaScript, ReactJS and Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues independently.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Proven ability to balance delivery speed with security, reliability, and quality.

• Design, build, and maintain DevOps pipelines and platforms for reliable software delivery.
• Embed security, compliance, and quality controls into delivery pipelines (DevSecOps).

Role description

Enable reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery by designing, building, and operating DevOps platforms, pipelines, and practices that support global enabling function products and services.

Role accountabilities

Leadership

• Act as a senior technical leader and role model for DevOps practices across enabling function software teams.
• Mentor and support engineers and product teams in CI/CD, automation, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, platform, security, and architecture teams to align delivery practices.
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in the software delivery lifecycle.

Technical Skills

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable software releases.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration management for cloud and platform environments.
• Embed security, compliance, and quality controls into delivery pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Support cloud-native architectures, container platforms, and automation tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex delivery, infrastructure, and production issues across environments.

Accountability

• Accountable for adherence to agreed standards, guardrails, and governance for enabling function software delivery.

Key Shared Accountabilities

• Contribute to achieving enabling function software delivery performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency targets.
• Support continuous improvement of shared platforms, tooling, and engineering standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years and up to 15 deep hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, and platform engineering
• Strong technical expertise in GitHub Actions, C#, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Proven ability to balance delivery speed with security, reliability, and quality.
