Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Azure Cloud, building batch and real-time pipelines with Databricks, PySpark, Python, and Kafka.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and governance teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance while contributing to CI/CD pipelines and enterprise-grade data platforms.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Cloud Data Platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and data engineering solutions.
• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Strong Python programming skills for data processing.
• Experience building real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Hands-on with Kafka and event-streaming architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions on Azure Cloud.

Expertise You'll Bring:
