Job summary

AppsTek Corp is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design and manage robust data pipelines across Azure Synapse and ADF, enabling real-time analytics and reliable enterprise intelligence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accessibility and quality in cloud and hybrid environments.

The role emphasizes performance, scalability, and clear data modeling, with responsibilities spanning data integration, transformation, and supporting Power BI reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of total experience in Data Engineering or BI roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Data Flows.
• Advanced skills in SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and optimization.
• Experience working with REST APIs, including handling pagination.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, mapping, and integration best practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS for legacy workloads.
• Exposure to Power BI integration and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Added advantage if certified on Azure (e.g., DP-203) or experienced with Delta Lake and Git integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Synapse and ADF
• Integrate data from REST APIs, on-premise databases, and cloud sources
• Develop optimized data models (star/snowflake) for analytics
• Execute complex transformations and data mapping using Data Flows in ADF and Synapse
• Optimize pipeline and query performance to support large-scale data workloads
• Translate business requirements into robust technical implementations
• Support dashboard and reporting needs in collaboration with Power BI teams
• Apply best practices in cloud-based data movement and orchestration
• Assist with hybrid system integration using SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS when needed
• Contribute to solution design in Agile-based project environments

What This Role Will Drive

Data Engineering and Integration
