Role Overview

The Azure Data Engineer will design and manage robust, scalable data pipelines that support real‑time analytics and enterprise intelligence. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, this role will drive seamless data integration across cloud and hybrid environments. With a focus on performance, reliability, and clarity, the work directly supports business‑critical insights and long‑term data strategies.

What This Role Will Drive

Data Engineering and Integration

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory
• Connect and transform data from multiple sources including REST APIs, on‑premise databases, and cloud platforms
• Develop optimized data models (star/snowflake schemas) for analytical use
• Execute complex transformations and data mapping using Data Flows in ADF and Synapse
• Optimize pipeline and query performance to support large‑scale data workloads

Collaboration and Solution Delivery

• Translate business requirements into robust technical implementations
• Support dashboard and reporting needs in collaboration with Power BI teams
• Apply best practices in cloud‑based data movement and orchestration
• Assist with hybrid system integration using SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS when needed
• Contribute to solution design in Agile‑based project environments

Preferred Profile

• 5+ years of total experience in Data Engineering or BI roles
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Data Flows
• Advanced skills in SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and optimization
• Experience working with REST APIs, including handling pagination
• Solid understanding of data modeling, mapping, and integration best practices
• Familiarity with tools such as SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS for legacy workloads
• Exposure to Power BI integration and Microsoft Azure environments
• Added advantage if certified on Azure (e.g., DP‑203) or experienced with Delta Lake and Git integration
