Job summary

Cloudxtreme is seeking an experienced Azure Security Engineer to lead security posture assessments across client Azure environments. You will work with Defender for Cloud, XDR, and SC-100 concepts to architect secure solutions and drive remediation plans.

You will interpret Secure Score and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, FEDRAMP) and generate client-facing reports. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Azure security engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with MS Defender for Cloud and XDR.
• Familiar with SC-100 Security Architect concepts.
• Experience with Azure Policy, Security Center, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Understanding HIPAA, GDPR, FEDRAMP compliance.
• Ability to interpret Secure Score, Regulatory Compliance, and Threat Intelligence.
• Excellent client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

Overview:

Highly skilled Azure Security Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft XDR, and SC-100-level security architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security posture assessments across client environments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies aligned with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FEDRAMP.

• Conduct security posture assessments using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and XDR tools.
• Analyze and report on threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance posture across Azure workloads for a integrated security architecture across IAM, ITM and TVM.
• Knowledge and experience of using PowerBI dashboards for better reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and remediation plans based on assessment findings.
• Document findings, recommendations, and architecture decisions in client-facing reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
