Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in Azure administration and cloud operations.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud environments and on-prem virtualization is preferred.
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage Windows and Linux VMs, including patching and failover recovery.
• Configure Azure storage, backups, disaster recovery policies, and blob storage.
• Establish VNets, subnets, routing, VPNs, and manage IPs and NSGs.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), RBAC, and MFA configurations.
• Monitor resources with Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, optimize sizing and costs.
• Automate provisioning with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
• Collaborate with teams for infra upgrades and migrations.

Core Requirements & Skills

• Proven background in Azure IAAS administration, DevOps, on-premises virtualization (Hyper‑V or VMware), and system administration.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing, and hybrid‑cloud connectivity.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot scripts using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with Azure Well‑Architected Framework principles, focusing on reliability and operational excellence.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Exam AZ‑104).

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, resize, and manage Windows and Linux virtual machines. Handle patch management, virtual hard disks, and fail‑over recovery.
• Configure and manage Azure storage accounts, disks, and blob storage. Implement automated backups, archiving, and disaster‑recovery policies.
• Establish VNets, subnets, routing paths, and site‑to‑site VPNs. Manage public and private IP addresses and network security groups.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID). Configure RBAC, multi‑factor authentication, and security policies.
• Track resource utilization using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Identify orphaned resources, optimize VM sizing, and track costs.
• Automate routine provisioning and administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
