Tata Consultancy Services in Kolkata is seeking a seasoned AWS specialist with 3–4 years of hands-on experience to design and operate robust cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes VPC networking, Lambda-based workflows, security through IAM/SSO, and advanced data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, EMR, and analytics with Athena/Redshift. Proficiency with Python and AWS CLI is required to automate and troubleshoot at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on AWS experience in cloud design and operations.
• Strong VPC networking knowledge including NAT, IGW, endpoints, and transit gateways.
• Proficient in Lambda runtimes, packaging, concurrency, retries, and DLQs.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS.
• Experience with AWS CLI and Python for automation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with monitoring via CloudWatch and X-Ray; batch/streaming pipelines (Kafka, Flink, EMR).
• Knowledge of IAM, SSO, STS, and resource policies for secure access control.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

This person essentially is a subject matter expert with at least 3-4 years of experience in AWS and can demonstrate that level of expertise on these aspects :

Sound understanding of VPCs, Route tables, IGW, NAT, ACL’s, Endpoints, Transit Gateway, DNS, VPC endpoints.

Full understanding of AWS resilience patterns, AWS backup, and how to manage incident responses with break glass approaches as needed.

Full detailed knowledge of Lambda, including runtimes, packaging, storage, concurrency, retries and dead-letter queues.

Extensive hands-on experience with AWS CLI and working knowledge of Python.

Extensive knowledge & troubleshooting experience of Iceberg, Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS. (At least 3 or 4 of these services)

Ability to perform deep dive using CloudWatch & X-Ray for troubleshooting (covering logs, metrics, alerts, traces, filters, agents etc.)

Thorough understanding of batch and streaming data pipelines involving Kafka, Flink, EMR etc.

Sound understanding of how Identify and authentication works on AWS using IAM, SSO, STS/Trust policies, Resource policies etc.
