Job summary

Techwave is seeking a senior data architect to design scalable data architectures and drive standards across hybrid OT/IT environments. You will own the HLD/LLD for data platforms and guide engineering teams to ensure security, governance, and performance.

Experience with Confluent Platform, AWS services, and modern analytics is essential. You will mentor delivery pods and influence architecture decisions from design to go-live.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture and design.
• Experience defining enterprise data standards and architecture documentation.
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and data governance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Enterprise solution architecture for hybrid OT/IT, streaming, lakehouse, ML and API platforms.
• Secure connectivity, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Lake Formation, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Utility data concepts including SCADA, OSI PI, meters, schedules, forecasts, alarms, relays, IEDs and CIM.

• Lead technical decisions, design reviews and integration alignment across both delivery pods.
• Own the technical response for VAPT findings and architecture-related go-live conditions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and future-ready data architectures

Required Experience & Skills

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture and design
• Strong expertise in data platforms, data lakes, and analytical systems
• Experience defining enterprise data standards and architecture documentation
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and data governance
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
• Enterprise solution architecture for hybrid OT/IT, streaming, lakehouse, ML and API platforms
• Confluent Platform in a DMZ, Confluent Cloud Kafka, connectors, Schema Registry and Flink
• AWS architecture using S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora PostgreSQL, SageMaker, Athena, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, Bedrock and Grafana
• Secure connectivity, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Lake Formation, high availability and disaster recovery
• Utility data concepts including SCADA, OSI PI, meters, schedules, forecasts, alarms, relays, IEDs and CIM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based data architectures (AWS)
• Exposure to modern analytics and big data ecosystems
