Job summary

Techwave in Hyderabad, India, is seeking an accomplished Data Architect to design scalable data platforms and drive enterprise data strategy across hybrid environments.

You will define patterns, own the HLD/LLD for end-to-end data solutions, and mentor delivery teams while ensuring security, governance, and performance across AWS-based data ecosystems.

Strong collaboration with business units and IT teams is essential, along with clear documentation and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data architecture and design.
• Expert in data platforms, data lakes, and analytics.
• Experience defining enterprise data standards and docs.
• Strong focus on scalability, performance, and governance.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture.
• Hybrid OT/IT, streaming, lakehouse, ML and API platforms expertise.
• Experience with Confluent Platform and Kafka ecosystems.
• Proficient AWS data services and cloud architecture.
• Secure connectivity, IAM, KMS, and disaster recovery knowledge.
• Industrial data concepts including SCADA, CIM.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and future-ready data architectures
• Ensure delivery of comprehensive architecture documentation (logical, physical, integration views)
• Define data standards, patterns, and reference architectures
• Align data architecture with business requirements and enterprise standards
• Provide architectural guidance and design reviews for engineering teams
• Ensure consistency, scalability, and performance across data platforms
• Own the HLD and LLD for the end-to-end PPM and Alarm Management solution.
• Define component boundaries, data flows, integration patterns, security controls and non-functional requirements.
• Review designs for scalability, resilience, latency, data lineage, auditability and supportability.
• Lead technical decisions, design reviews and integration alignment across both delivery pods.
• Own the technical response for VAPT findings and architecture-related go-live conditions.

Required Experience & Skills

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture and design
• Strong expertise in data platforms, data lakes, and analytical systems
• Experience defining enterprise data standards and architecture documentation
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and data governance
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
• Enterprise solution architecture for hybrid OT/IT, streaming, lakehouse, ML and API platforms
• Confluent Platform in a DMZ, Confluent Cloud Kafka, connectors, Schema Registry and Flink
• AWS architecture using S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Aurora PostgreSQL, SageMaker, Athena, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, Bedrock and Grafana
• Secure connectivity, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Lake Formation, high availability and disaster recovery
• Utility data concepts including SCADA, OSI PI, meters, schedules, forecasts, alarms, relays, IEDs and CIM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based data architectures (AWS)
• Exposure to modern analytics and big data ecosystems
