Job summary

Coforge is seeking an AWS Migration Engineer (L2) to plan, execute, and optimize cloud migrations to AWS. The role covers server, application, and database migrations, with emphasis on secure, scalable architectures.

You will work across migration strategies, leverage AWS tools (MGN, DMS, DataSync), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and post-migration optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience in cloud migration projects from on-premises to AWS.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Good understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end migration of servers, applications, and databases to AWS.
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain).
• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB/ALB, Route 53, S3, EBS, RDS, Auto Scaling.
• Perform migration testing, validation, and post-migration optimization.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams during migrations.
• Create and maintain migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support production workloads and resolve incidents related to migrated environments.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing migrations from on-premises environments or other cloud platforms to AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end migration of servers, applications, and databases to AWS cloud.
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain).
