Job summary

Vishnu Prasad Research Centre seeks an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience to design, implement, and manage modern cloud infrastructure in our Chennai-based environment. You will build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation, and ensure scalable, secure deployments.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, containerization, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate should have expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Linux administration, and modern DevOps practices to build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
• Configure AWS networking, IAM, Load Balancers, Route 53, and security.
• Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance, security, and cost.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve automation and deployments.

Required Technical Skills

• AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, ECR, Route 53, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, ALB/NLB, Secrets Manager, KMS.
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm.
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
• Linux Administration and Bash scripting.
• Git and branching strategies.
• Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/ELK.
• Python scripting (Preferred).
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, VPN.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) is an advantage.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
