Job summary

Rocket India seeks an experienced AWS Data Engineer for an in-person drive in Chennai. The role focuses on building scalable, cloud-based data pipelines within AWS using Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, Python, SQL, and PySpark.

You will design, develop, and optimize data solutions in collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of data engineering experience on AWS.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data pipelines.
• Experience with ETL/ELT on AWS Glue.
• Hands-on experience with Redshift or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines on AWS.

Position Overview:

As a AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable cloud-based data solutions within the AWS ecosystem. You will partner closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to build reliable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on AWS.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue.
• Develop automation, orchestration, and data transformation solutions using Python.
• Design and support enterprise data warehousing solutions with Amazon Redshift and Snowflake.
• Develop and manage relational database solutions using Amazon RDS.

• Create serverless, event-driven applications using AWS Lambda.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and platform reliability.
• Optimize data architectures for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
