Cognizant in Kochi is seeking a Lead Developer to design and deliver advanced data and computation solutions in bioinformatics using AWS Lambda, Python and AWS Glue. The role requires 6–10 years of experience and deep domain expertise to build secure, scalable platforms for global stakeholders.

• Deep practical experience with AWS Lambda, Python and AWS Glue including design, implementation, optimization and maintenance of production workloads in a hybrid environment.

• Collaborate with data scientists and bioinformaticians to embed analytical algorithms into production-grade Lambda and Glue pipelines enabling repeatable, computable and traceable research workflows.
• Establish and enforce configuration management and version control processes for code and infrastructure resources to support reliable deployments and hybrid work coordination.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis of defects, performance issues and data inconsistencies and implement well-tested corrective actions that protect the integrity of scientific results.
• Document architectural decisions, pipeline designs and operational runbooks in a clear and accessible manner to support knowledge sharing and continuity across distributed teams.
• Engage with stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and propose technical improvements that enhance bioinformatics platform capabilities and ultimately support better patient and public health outcomes.
