Job summary

Zensar Technologies, based in Bengaluru, is hiring a DBA to manage and optimize our AWS cloud databases. You will design automation with Terraform, implement backup and disaster recovery, and ensure security and compliance in financial services contexts.

You will collaborate with DevOps and security teams to run production systems, monitor performance, and support incident root cause analysis. Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora and scripting with Python/Shell/PowerShell is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Card, Banking, Payments, or Financial Services domains.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOC, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud migration projects.
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Database Specialty, or SysOps) preferred.

• Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure automation.

• Administer and support databases on AWS (RDS, Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Automate database provisioning, patching, backup, recovery, and monitoring processes.
• Ensure database security, compliance, encryption, and access controls in line with financial industry standards.
• Manage database performance tuning, capacity planning, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Application, and Security teams for cloud‑native deployments.
• Support production incident management and root cause analysis for database‑related issues.
