Idexcel is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platforms. You will drive Terraform-based IaC, build reliable CI/CD pipelines, and ensure observability and reliability of production systems while aligning with security best practices.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, Terraform, and Python, and involves close collaboration with engineering teams to enable fast, secure software delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Electronics or related discipline.
5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
Strong experience with AWS services and Kubernetes (EKS).

Responsibilities

Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
Own AWS account governance cost optimisation, security posture, multi-account strategies.
Implement and maintain cloud networking, load balancing, and DNS configurations.
Enforce AWS security best practices: IAM policies, secrets management, compliance controls.
Lead design, deployment, and operations of Kubernetes clusters on EKS; manage autoscaling and namespaces.
Build modular Terraform codebases for AWS/EKS provisioning; manage remote state & IaC reviews.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
Automate operations with Python; improve tooling for deployment velocity.
Implement observability stacks (New Relic, CloudWatch, Elastic); on-call & post-mortems.
Drive SLO/SLA definitions and reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities

AWS & Cloud Infrastructure

Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda)
Own AWS account governance cost optimisation, security posture, multi-account strategies
Implement and maintain cloud networking, load balancing, and DNS configurations
Enforce AWS security best practices: IAM policies, secrets management, compliance controls

Kubernetes & Container Orchestration

Lead design, deployment, and operations of Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS
Manage workload scheduling, autoscaling (HPA/VPA/KEDA), resource quotas, and namespace strategies
Troubleshoot cluster and pod-level issues including networking (CNI), ingress, and storage

Infrastructure as Code

Build and maintain modular Terraform codebases for AWS and EKS provisioning
Manage Terraform state, modules, and workspaces across a team environment
Enforce IaC code review standards and GitOps workflows

CI/CD & Automation

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
Automate operational tasks and toil reduction using Python scripting
Build tooling to improve developer experience and deployment velocity

Monitoring & Reliability

Implement observability stacks (New Relic, CloudWatch, Elastic)
Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems

Required Skills

5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role
Deep AWS expertise across compute, networking, storage, and security
Expert-level Kubernetes cluster admin, workload management, networking, troubleshooting
Strong Terraform skills production-grade IaC, modules, remote state
Hands-on Amazon EKS experience (managed node groups, Fargate, add-ons, upgrades)
Solid Python scripting for automation and operational tooling
Strong networking fundamentals - VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, DNS
