Job summary

Brillio is seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native data integration and API solutions on AWS in Bengaluru. The candidate will bring deep expertise in serverless architectures, data engineering, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to build secure, high-performing data platforms that enable seamless data exchange across enterprise

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong AWS architecture expertise.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable data integration on AWS.
• Strong skills in serverless ETL pipelines and data platforms.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, authentication, and security best practices.
• Proficient in Python or Java and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with event-driven, microservices and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable data integration solutions on AWS.
• Lead serverless ETL pipelines using AWS Glue for ingestion and transformation.
• Develop RESTful APIs with AWS Lambda and API Gateway with security and versioning.
• Implement authentication via AWS Cognito, OAuth2, and mTLS.
• Build event-driven architectures using SQS, S3, and related services.
• Model relational data with Amazon Aurora (MySQL) and optimize with RDS Proxy.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
• Drive monitoring and operations using CloudWatch and incident processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scalable enterprise data solutions.
• Create architecture docs, runbooks, and technical specs.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native data integration and API solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in serverless architectures, data engineering, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to build secure, high-performing, and reliable data platforms that enable seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable data integration solutions using AWS services.
• Lead the development of serverless ETL pipelines using AWS Glue for data ingestion, transformation, and publishing.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs using AWS Lambda and API Gateway, ensuring best practices around versioning, pagination, security, and performance.
• Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using AWS Cognito, OAuth2, and Mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Build event-driven and decoupled architectures leveraging AWS SQS, S3, and related AWS services.
• Design and optimize relational data models using Amazon Aurora (MySQL) and RDS Proxy.
• Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and integration best practices.
• Drive monitoring, observability, and operational excellence using CloudWatch, SNS, and incident management processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and downstream consumers to define scalable solutions.
• Create architecture documentation, design artifacts, technical specifications, and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong AWS architecture expertise.
• Hands-on experience with:
• AWS Glue
• AWS Lambda
• API Gateway
• Amazon S3
• AWS Cognito
• CloudWatch
• Strong experience in Python or Java development.
• Deep understanding of OAuth2, mTLS, authentication, and security best practices.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and database design experience.
• Experience with event-driven, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Strong understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT, and enterprise data management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, especially Stibo STEP.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Experience working with supply chain or product master data domains.
• Knowledge of Azure Service Bus or similar enterprise messaging platforms.
• Experience with SFTP integrations, XML, CSV, and large-scale data exchange solutions.
• AWS Solution Architect Professional or Associate Certification preferred.
