Job summary

ASM Auto Group is seeking engineers with 2–5 years of experience to independently own functional validation of MCU peripherals and subsystems, spanning pre-silicon RTL simulation and post-silicon bring-up. You will work closely with Architecture, Design, and Firmware teams to ensure robust automotive devices.

You will develop test plans, firmware test suites, and automation in Python and C, debug hardware/software interactions, and coordinate with RTL designers on design issues.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in functional validation of MCU peripherals and subsystems.
• Experience with pre-silicon RTL simulation and post-silicon bring-up.
• Proficiency in Python and C for test development and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own functional validation of Automotive peripherals and communication interfaces.
• Develop requirements-based test plans and negative/corner-case tests.
• Develop firmware test suites and automation in Python and C.
• Debug hardware/software interactions across firmware, RTL waveforms, emulation, and silicon.
• Execute first-silicon functional bring-up and peripheral tests.
• Maintain regressions, track coverage, and close functional gaps.
• Produce test plans, validation reports, and defect analyses.
• Coordinate with RTL designers and architecture teams on design issues.

Position Overview:

We are seekingengineers with 2-5 years of experience to independently own functional validation of MCU peripherals and subsystems, spanning pre-silicon (RTL simulation, QuickTurn/Palladium/ZeBu emulation, FPGA prototyping) and post-silicon (functional bring-up and validation on silicon).

You will work closely with Architecture, Design, and Firmware teams to ensure robust, competitive automotive devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own functional validation of Automotive peripherals and communication interfaces
• Develop requirements-based test plans, directed tests, and negative/corner-case scenarios
• Develop firmware test suites and automation in Python and C
• Debug hardware/software interactions across firmware, RTL waveforms, emulation, and silicon
• Execute first-silicon functional bring-up and peripheral functional tests
• Maintain regressions, track coverage, and close functional gaps
• Execute performance and benchmarking tests on assigned peripherals and subsystems
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Verify fixes for customer-reported issues
• Produce test plans, validation reports, and defect root-cause analyses
• Coordinate with RTL designers and architecture teams on design issues
