Job summary

Theomnihire is seeking an experienced Cloud Developer to design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, emphasizing security and scalability. You will implement IaC with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, automate database provisioning, and drive data migration across hybrid and cloud environments.

You will work with AI-enabled tooling, GitHub Copilot, and advanced AI frameworks to enhance automation, documentation, and testing efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on background in code development and database management systems (DBMS).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, AWS CLI, API development/integration, SQL and No-SQL.
• Proven experience with AWS cloud-native databases and cloud platforms such as RDS, DynamoDB, and relational databases.
• IaC experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with AI frameworks and AI governance principles including Agentic AI, LLMs, and RAG concepts.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Developer with strong expertise in AWS Cloud internals, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AI framework, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud internals, hands‑on experience in cloud application development, and a proven track record of building, automating, and managing cloud platform infrastructure services.

This role focuses on advanced cloud database automation, infrastructure provisioning, data migration, and integration of cloud platforms with enterprise workflow and orchestration engines.

Candidate should also have experience applying AI‑enabled productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot and exposure to Agentic AI frameworks, Prompt Engineering, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts to drive automation and innovation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage cloud‑native solutions on AWS with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and automation.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and AWS CloudFormation).
• Implement advanced cloud database automation, including provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management. (Including Day‑2 operational activities)
• Lead and execute data conversion and migration activities across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Integrate cloud services and databases with security frameworks, workflow engines, and orchestration frameworks.
• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in GitHub following DevOps best practices.
• Support development and operations of cloud platform infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Develop Lambda, Step functions and IAM policies. Deploy the same with IaC pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including application development, data engineering, security architecture, and platform operations.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and testing efficiency.
• Design and implement AI‑enabled automation solutions, including Agentic AI frameworks, to enhance data engineering, reporting, and operational processes

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands‑on background in code development and database management systems (DBMS)
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in one or more of the following technologies:
  • Python
  • AWS CLI (SDK) ; API development / integration
  • SQL and No-SQL.
  • AI Framework – Github Copilot, AI Models, AWS Bedrock
• Proven experience working with SQL‑based data platforms, including:
  • AWS cloud‑native databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, DynamoDB)
  • Cloud‑agnostic relational database platforms
• Practical, hands‑on experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/​or AWS CloudFormation
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure Services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and IAM.
• Exposure to serverless architecture and automation workflows, including event‑driven and managed cloud services
• Experience supporting or building automated cloud provisioning and DevOps‑driven deployments is strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience building or working with Agentic AI solutions, Prompt Engineering, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI governance principles
• LLM fine‑tuning, vector databases, MLOps basics, RAG, model serving for AI‑focused FDE role

Preferred:

• 3+ years of experience with multiple AWS services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) models. Familiarity with AWS Cloud services including Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, Glue, DMS, Quicksight, Athena, Airflow, SQS/SNS etc.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure and database automation/programming with Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD and configuration management tools including Chef, ’Cloud bees’, Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Ansible
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing automation scripts – using Pythion, java Script, Angular, Ruby, Ansible etc.)
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud strategy initiatives: Business Case development, application assessment and migration planning
• Working knowledge of AWS Security and Compliance.
• Exposure Data Virtualization platforms such as Starburst.
• Experience with ETL Tools including AWS Glue, Data Sync, Apache Airflow
• Experience with scripting and application frameworks such as PowerShell, Rust/React, Django, Web services, and REST API.
• Strong understanding of Scale Agile methodology (SAFe), team collaboration and transparent delivery practices.
• Ability to evaluate and configure new and existing technologies in Cloud Platform.
• AWS Certification (Associate or Professional) is a strong plus.
