Job summary

Revantage in Bengaluru, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with 10+ years of hands-on experience in corporate law. You will draft, review and negotiate complex contracts, coordinate investment committee activities, and provide cross-functional legal support across APAC regions.

The role requires independent work, strong analytical ability, and effective stakeholder engagement across seniorities and cultures, with a focus on governance and compliance in fast-moving

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in the legal field.
• Minimum 2 years in a law firm or private practice.
• Able to draft, review and negotiate contracts independently.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate engagement letters, service agreements, works and consultancy contracts, NDAs, and general commercial contracts.
• Assist with corporate secretarial and funding documents of investment structures.
• Coordinate Singapore investment committee meetings and board meetings related to Blackstone real estate transactions.
• Monitor and advise on governance protocol for JV transactions.
• Provide legal advice with Revantage APAC teams on issues like tax, finance, employment.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY ROLE

• Legal Reviews:
• Review and negotiate engagement letters, service agreements, works and consultancy contracts, NDAs, general commercial contracts etc., including coordinating input from and summarizing key legal issues to internal stakeholders.
• Review corporate secretarial and funding documents of investment structures, including consideration of wider non-legal implications of the corporate actions based on review guide.
• Assist with the coordination of Singapore investment committee meetings and board meetings relating to Blackstone real estate transactions, including liaising with external counsel and finalizing minutes.
• Coordinate declarations by Blackstone sponsor / promoter group in REITs or IPOs.
• Monitor and advise on complex governance protocol for JV transactions, acting as the main legal reviewer and elevate to Blackstone stakeholders where required o Work closely with the Revantage Asia Pacific business teams to provide legal advice on issues (e.g. tax, finance/accounting, employment, corporate and commercial) together with resolution plan o Track, monitor and safekeep commercial contracts and template legal documents.
• Compliance:
• Arrange compliance declarations for Revantage APAC employees.
• Monitor Blackstone transactions involving material non-public information (MNPI), administer compliance controls for Revantage APAC, including maintaining tracker for MNPI insiders and segregating access rights to MNPI.
• Legal Operations:
• Maintain tracker and/or provide regular input on the key matrixes for reporting to Blackstone.
• Assist in assessing work procedures, providing feedback/suggestions for improvements and implementing improvement process, where necessary.
• Create and/or update standard operating procedures (SOP).
• As needed, support Revantage APAC on special projects and other legal operations matters.
• Undertake and contribute to the transition and quality service delivery of further scope migration from the Singapore and/or Sydney legal team to the GCC team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university (Second Upper Class honours and above).
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience in the legal field, with a minimum of 2 years gained in a law firm or private practice.
• Able to draft, review and negotiate contracts independently.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and ethical mindset.
• Able to act autonomously when appropriate and know when to elevate matters.
• Able to engage confidently and effectively with stakeholders across seniorities, expertise and cultures.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Well organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet tight timelines.
• Motivated and driven to take responsibility for new projects and see them through to completion.
