Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Lead Data Analyst within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team. This role provides data expertise across domains and leads data projects to ensure consistency, quality, and data protection.

The successful candidate will mentor juniors, collaborate with data stewards and owners, and drive governance practices and documentation, including lineage, dictionaries, and catalogs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Management, or Data Development.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including DDL, DML, and data profiling.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and Data Lake platforms.
• Experience with data modeling using Erwin or similar tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise data management artifacts (data dictionaries, catalogs, lineage, glossaries).

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, documentation, and management of data requirements, business rules, and data standards for assigned enterprise data domains.
• Conduct data analysis and data profiling activities to identify data quality issues, validate business requirements, and support data management initiatives.
• Partner with Data Stewards, Data Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to establish and maintain authoritative data sources and ensure alignment with enterprise data standards.
• Develop and maintain data lineage documentation, data mappings, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data catalogs.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Modelers and technology teams to create and enhance conceptual and logical data models that align with the Enterprise Data Model.
• Support the implementation and adoption of data governance practices by promoting consistent definitions, standards, and processes across the organization.
• Investigate and assist in resolving data quality and data integrity issues through root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
• Provide subject matter expertise on enterprise data domains and influence data design decisions to support business and technology objectives.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data management, data governance, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to data lifecycle management, governance processes, standards, and operational efficiency.

Job Overview:

We are currently looking to hire a Lead Data Analyst within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team, which is a part of LPL’s Technology organization. This position is responsible for providing data expertise in one or more data domains. The individual in this role will establish and promote a deep understanding and awareness of data in the specific domain, serve as a lead data analyst and data champion on data projects, and adhere to an enterprise-wide data governance framework to achieve the highest level of consistency, quality, and protection of data.
