Job summary

Michael Page Mumbai seeks a senior Investor Relations leader to drive IPO readiness, craft investor materials with the CFO, and coordinate with bankers, legal advisers and auditors to ensure timely IPO milestones.

You will be the primary liaison to domestic and international investors, coordinate earnings calls, manage shareholder queries, and ensure SEBI and stock-exchange disclosure norms while supporting fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA (Finance) from Tier I or Tier II institution.
• 15-17 years of experience in Investor Relations, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, or Equity Research.
• Listed-company IR experience with senior relationships up to VP/MD/EVP.
• Exposure to IPO/public listing transitions is a plus.

Job Description

• IPO & Public Market Readiness: Lead preparation of investor materials ahead of and through the IPO; Collaborate with the CFO on drafting and reviewing the DRHP/RHP; Coordinate with investment bankers, legal advisors, auditors and other stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant execution of IPO milestones.
• Investor Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact between the CFO/founders and the investor community, including domestic and foreign institutional investors (FIIs/DIIs), mutual funds, qualified institutional buyers, and retail shareholders; Build and maintain senior-level relationships with domestic and international investment banks, up to VP/MD/EVP level; Confidently and promptly answer investor and shareholder queries on business outlook, financial performance, and the company's current market standing.
• Earnings Calls & Stock Exchange Coordination: Partner with the CFO and Company Secretary to organize and moderate quarterly earnings calls within statutory filing timelines, taking investors through financial results, forecasts and live Q&A; Coordinate related communication and compliance with the stock exchanges.
• Market Positioning & Fundraising Support: Position the company effectively to mutual funds, institutional investors, and research analysts to drive coverage and participation in public market
• offerings; Support future block deals, qualified institutional placements (QIPs), and other post-listing capital markets activity.
• Shareholder Management: Manage day-to-day shareholder queries and correspondence; Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent communication with existing and prospective shareholders.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and execution bottlenecks across the IPO and listing process; Proactively drive resolution through cross-functional coordination and elevate critical issues to the CFO and leadership as required.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Oversee preparation of quarterly and annual investor decks, earnings releases, and FAQs; Analyze and communicate financial performance, including revenue mix (US operations) and cost structure (India delivery) to external stakeholders.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, peer performance, valuation benchmarks, and investor sentiment; Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and capital markets positioning.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations and disclosure norms; Oversee timely and accurate communication with stock exchanges post listing.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

• CA or MBA (Finance) from Tier I or Tier II institution.
• 15-17 years of overall experience in Investor Relations, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, or Equity Research.
• Proven experience in listed-company environments.
• At least 3-4 years of dedicated public-market / listed-company Investor Relations experience, including the rigor of quarterly earnings calls.
• Exposure to IPO / public-listing transitions is a plus, though not required - candidates with strong listed-company IR experience are equally valued.
• Established, senior-level relationships with domestic and international investment banks - up to VP/MD/EVP level, not limited to junior analyst coverage.
• Strong Investor Relations management skills with demonstrated experience managing retail investors, institutional investors (FIIs/DIIs), mutual funds, and qualified institutional buyers (QIBs).
• Hands-on experience leading investor meetings and quarterly earnings calls, and independently addressing investor queries on future outlook and market standing in real time.
• Strong familiarity with SEBI guidelines and disclosure norms.
• Preference for candidates from IT/ITES, technology services, or insurance backgrounds, including US healthcare revenue cycle management or global delivery-led models; manufacturing, engineering, defense, or R&D-heavy backgrounds are not a fit.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to build a clear, credible narrative on numbers even with limited information.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations).

Technical Proficiency:

• Knowledge of SEBI ICDR Regulations, SCRR, and Companies Act.
• Coordination of quarterly earnings call logistics within statutory filing timelines (typically within 45 days of quarter-end).
• Coordination of financial reporting and audit timelines.
• Data room setup and document control processes.
• Stakeholder coordination with bankers, legal advisors, and auditors.
• Strong ability to interpret financial statements and investor materials.

Key Expertise Areas:

• Understanding of IPO readiness frameworks, governance requirements and milestone tracking.
• Familiarity with capital markets dynamics, investor expectations, and valuation drivers.
• Experience navigating SEBI and stock exchange processes, including pre-DRHP interactions and listing workflows.
• Exposure to board-level reporting, investor roadshows, and strategic communication during fundraising events.
• Ability to interpret and contextualize financial disclosures, KPIs, and valuation narratives for external stakeholders.

• Established network across domestic and international investment banks and research analysts, at a senior (VP/MD/EVP) level.
