Job summary

Citi is seeking a mid-level Transaction Capture, AVP to support Front Office Sales and Trading in derivatives and securities transactions. The role coordinates position records with trading and processing teams, and focuses on improving process efficiency and controls.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in a securities processing environment, and prior people-management experience.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in securities processing.
• Experience in a securities transactions processing role.
• Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous people-management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading specifically around derivatives and securities transactions.
• Maintain position records in coordination with the traditional trading desk assistant and/or trade processing functions.
• Support trade capture management, front-to-back reconciliation, identifying operational risk, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts.
• Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to make recommendations to senior management to support process improvement.
• Design and analyze complex reports to support/control activities and make recommendations based on identified trends and facts.
• Interpret data and recommend the launch of new products/services or upgraded platforms that support pre-settlement processes and transaction capture functions.
• Minimize bank risk, and provide solutions to reduce errors, ensuring adherence to audit and control policies.
• Manage, escalates and resolves all requests, inquiries, issues and errors, identifying policy gaps and formulating policies to streamline processes.
• Serve as an analytical and procedural expert, and as the first point of escalation for staff members, management and internal/external clients.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding affiliates, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Formulate procedures, techniques and contribute to the development of new techniques that increase team productivity, ensuring the entire team meets or exceeds performance goals.
