Job summary

OakNorth seeks a Credit Analyst to evaluate and structure loan opportunities across sectors and geographies. You will produce high-quality credit analysis and financial models that support OakNorth's mission to back ambitious borrowers.

Reporting into the Credit team, you will draft concise credit reports, perform scenario analyses, identify covenants, and interact with clients to resolve data gaps and refine analytical frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in credit, lending or financial analysis.
• MBA, PGDM, CA or CFA qualification from a reputed institute.
• Strong financial analysis skills with accounting and financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of loan opportunities across sectors and geographies.
• Draft concise, well-structured credit reports with clear takeaways for credit and risk teams.
• Develop detailed financial models covering transaction details, financial statement analysis, projections, ratio analysis and credit metrics.
• Conduct sensitivity and stress-testing analysis on projections to assess loan serviceability.
• Identify deal-specific covenants and monitor signals during loan monitoring.
• Interact with clients to discuss data gaps and refine analytical frameworks.

About The Role

As a Credit Analyst at OakNorth, you will play a key role in evaluating and structuring loan opportunities across a range of sectors and geographies. Reporting into the Credit team, you will produce high-quality credit analysis and financial models that directly support OakNorth's mission to back the UK's most ambitious businesses.

What You'll Do

• Conduct detailed analysis of loan opportunities across various sectors and geographies


• Draft concise, well-structured credit reports with clear takeaways for credit and risk teams to review


• Develop detailed financial models covering transaction details, financial statement analysis, projections, ratio analysis and credit metrics


• Conduct sensitivity and stress-testing analysis on projections to assess loan serviceability


• Identify deal-specific covenants that can serve as early warning signals during loan monitoring


• Carry out in-depth industry and market studies to understand the operating environment of borrowers


• Interact directly with clients to discuss data gaps, inconsistencies and analytical frameworks

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE…

• Strong financial analysis skills with a thorough understanding of accounting and financial concepts


• Proven ability to draft clear, compelling credit reports


• 5+ years of relevant experience in credit, lending or financial analysis


• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with Debt Directors, clients and other stakeholders


• An MBA, PGDM, CA or CFA qualification from a reputed institute
