Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking an Avionics Software Integrator/Verification expert to lead end-to-end verification of safety-critical real-time embedded platform software in the avionics domain, aligned with DO-178B/C objectives. The role includes defining strategy, managing integrations, and driving formal testing across multi-site teams.

You will design test benches, implement automation, mentor engineers, and contribute to continuous integration pipelines, ensuring robust software

Qualifications

• DO-178B/C guidelines for Design Assurance Level (DAL) software life cycles.
• Configuration Management and Change Management in safety-critical domains.

• Strong Project management skills to drive large teams/workloads.

Responsibilities

• Define, document, and execute the overall Software Verification Strategy and Test Plan according to DO-178B/C objectives.
• Perform integration of complex software components/subsets, manage software builds, and maintain configuration control across lifecycles.
• Design, configure, and maintain advanced test rigs and environments, including HSIT/SWIT and simulated benches.
• Author, review, and execute high-level and low-level Test Cases and Procedures (Functional, Performance, Boundary, Robustness).
• Perform structural coverage analysis (MC/DC, etc.) to ensure complete verification.
• Lead root-cause analysis and debugging for complex issues during integration or testing.
• Implement test automation frameworks to improve verification efficiency and CI pipelines.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and promote verification best practices across teams.

Avionics Software Integrator/Verification Job Description:

Job Role:

Avionics Software Integration & Verification: The individual will be responsible for Integration, Verification and Validation of Safety critical Real Time Embedded Platform software for the avionics domain conforming to DO 178 B/C standard. The individual is expected to provide technical leadership and should have working exposure to complete Software Verification Activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define, document, and execute the overall Software Verification Strategy and Test Plan in accordance with DO-178B/C objectives.
• Perform integration of complex software components/subsets, manage software builds, and maintain configuration control across life-cycle baselines.
• Design, configure, and maintain advanced test rigs and environments, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HSIT), Software-in-the-Loop (SWIT), and simulated test benches.
• Author, review, and execute high-level and low-level Software Test Cases and Procedures (Functional, Performance, Boundary, and Robustness testing).
• Perform structural coverage analysis (MC/DC, Statement, Decision coverage) to ensure complete requirement verification.
• Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and debugging for complex issues identified during internal integration or customer/stakeholder testing.
• Implement test automation frameworks to increase verification efficiency and continuous integration pipelines.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and drive verification best practices across multi-site global teams.

Job Qualifications:

Should have 7+ years of experience in Avionics Software Verification & Integration Activities.

Must have

• In-depth working knowledge of DO-178B/C guidelines for Design Assurance Level (DAL A, B, and C) software life cycles.
• Strong knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) and Change Management processes in safety-critical domains.
• Developing and debugging tests on HSIT (Hardware Software Integration Test) benches and simulation environments.
• Proven ability to work seamlessly across cross-functional, multi-site global teams.
• Knowledge about Verification standards.
• Strong Project management skills to drive large teams/workloads.

Good to have

• Familiarity with Product Line Architecture and Component-Based Software Engineering.
• Direct experience participating in Stage of Involvement (SOI) certification audits (SOI-3 / SOI-4).
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools: Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Python, Robot Framework, VectorCAST, or RTRT.
