Job Summary:

As a part of the Global Business Services Engineering Team, the Project Support Engineer role will

have responsibilities associated with design engineering and CAD drafting. This opportunity will allow

the candidate to gain knowledge in multiple areas within Diversified’s Technical Operations group. The

Project Support Engineer will gain A/V industry experience while supporting global projects and

teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares Architectural AV Infrastructure drawings such as creating, modifying, or updating architectural elevations, floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans using AutoCAD in accordance with Diversified Standards & Training.
• Timely communication with CAD Management when problems are encountered
• Store drawings in project file system; maintain proper version control
• Maintains Diversified drawing standards
• Utilize centralized block library on Diversified Project Connect (Sharepoint)
• Provide daily status updates within Diversified Scheduling and Task Tracking reports
• Delivery and receipt of CAD deliverables using Diversified Project Connect (Sharepoint)
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with AutoCAD features and techniques.
• Support the development of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation
• Develop detailed PDF markups for CAD to translate into construction drawings using Bluebeam Revu.
• Generate functional complete block wiring diagrams, rack elevations, custom plates or cabling assemblies.
• Complete the as-built drawings for service hand-over.
• Attend appropriate manufacturer trainings, lunch and learns, and online education.

Shift Requirements:

2 PM – 11 PM

Education/Certifications:

• AVIXA CTS certification is desired
• Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.

Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

• One or more years of directly related experience is desired
• 2-5 years of experience with AutoCAD, preferred
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to communicate well with others remotely via video and audio conferencing
• High level of attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, Sharepoint)
• Good time management skills and ability to handle time deadline pressures.
• Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.
