Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 8+ years experience or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Formal ISO 26262 functional safety training and experience developing safety work products for ASIL B–D.
• Experience with semiconductor development flows and digital design at IP/SoC level.
• Proficiency in English for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience qualifying embedded hardware to ISO 26262 ASIL levels, including ASIL D.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ISO 26262 work products including Technical Safety Concept, FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA, DFA, Safety Plan, and Safety Case for Digital DesignWare IP.
• Collaborate with IP development teams and automotive customers to align functional safety deliverables with project timelines and ASIL requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering guidance for safety.
• Design and implement automation scripts to streamline safety analysis workflows, including FMEDA and fault injection reporting.
• Lead quality and functional safety reviews, generating detailed reports with findings and recommendations for design improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years
• Formal training and hands‑on expertise in ISO 26262 functional safety standards, including direct experience developing safety work products for ASIL B, C, or D applications
• Demonstrated experience with semiconductor development flows and digital design at the IP or SoC level
• Proficiency in English for technical writing and cross‑functional collaboration with global teams
• Proven track record qualifying embedded hardware or hardware/software systems to ISO 26262 ASIL levels, including ASIL D
• Experience with ISO 26262 Part 5, hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL, AEC Q100, or scripting languages such as Python is a plus
