Job summary

Ascendum Solutions India is seeking a seasoned Automotive Design Engineer in Bengaluru to lead chassis component design, with expertise in Creo, PDM Link, and GD&T. You will handle large assemblies and complex drawings, coordinate packaging studies, and drive CAD modules from concept to release.

You will prepare 3D models, schematics, and packaging for hydraulic routings, while aligning with team leads and project plans.

Qualifications

• 57 years of experience in automotive product development, preferably in the truck/commercial vehicle sector.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Creo and PDM Link.
• Experience handling large assemblies, layouts, sheet metal, hydraulic components, castings, and engineering drawings.
• Strong practical knowledge of GD&T and its application in product design.
• Good understanding of engineering fundamentals, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of KOLA / DCN release processes.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and design considerations.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

• Design and installation of components on chassis, including packaging studies, diversity considerations, and stakeholder alignment.
• Design of castings, sheet metal, and rubber components.
• Create engineering drawings with appropriate GD&T practices.
• Design and packaging of hydraulic routings and connections will be an added advantage.
• Prepare designs, 3D models, drawings, and schematics.
• Create and update CAD modules.
• Documentation and release of solutions in KOLA as per defined processes.
• Execute engineering activities as per instructions from the Team Lead / Lead Engineer and project plan.
• Report daily activity status and planned activities to the Team Leader.
