Job summary

Advantmed is seeking a hands-on Automation Developer to lead process discovery, solution design and data automation initiatives.

You will build Python-based solutions, automate data flows between Excel, SQL databases, emails, and web sources, and collaborate with BI/reporting teams to deliver reliable dashboards.

The role emphasizes maintainable, modular design, GUI interfaces for guided execution, and rigorous testing before production.

Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium, PyTest, PyCharm, Beautiful Soup, SQLAlchemy, Matplotlib, Django, Qt or comparable Python tools and frameworks.
• Experience developing simple graphical user interfaces for user management, configuration or guided process execution.
• Knowledge of APIs, JSON, SFTP, email automation, file-based integrations and scheduled job execution.
• Exposure to Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, SSIS, Git or another version-control platform.
• Experience with web data extraction using approved methods and with appropriate validation and exception controls.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations, Planning, Reporting and other stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, business rules, inputs, outputs and control requirements.
• Document the current-state process, identify automation opportunities, and design a practical future-state workflow.
• Assess feasibility, dependencies, exceptions, risks and expected benefits before development begins.
• Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications, acceptance criteria and delivery plans.
• Develop automations that import, validate, transform and export data between Excel, MS SQL databases, email attachments, shared folders, web sources and approved applications.
• Build Python-based solutions using libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Selenium, Beautiful Soup, PyTest, Matplotlib and suitable GUI frameworks.
• Develop and maintain Excel/VBA automations, advanced formulas and reporting tools for recurring operational requirements.
• Create user-friendly interfaces, configuration controls and process flows where business users require guided execution.
• Use modular, object-oriented and reusable design practices to improve maintainability and scalability.
• Automate existing and new reporting requirements while keeping outputs standardized and flexible for changes.
• Create controlled data pipelines and scheduled workflows that reduce repetitive effort and manual handling.
• Validate source-to-output reconciliation, data completeness, transformation logic and exception handling.
• Coordinate with BI and reporting teams where automation feeds dashboards, scorecards or client deliverables.
• Prepare test scenarios and perform functional, regression, negative and volume testing before release.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, capture approvals and implement production releases through the applicable change process.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Process Discovery and Solution Design

4. Testing, Deployment and Production Support

• Prepare test scenarios and perform functional, regression, negative and volume testing before release.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, capture approvals and implement production releases through the applicable change process.

Monitor production automations, investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis and restore service within agreed priorities

Preferred Technical Qualifications:
