Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an Automation Tester to join a hybrid team in India. The role focuses on drafting and executing automated tests using Selenium WebDriver and Specflow, with C# or Java stacks.

You will work within a sprint test team, ensuring data-driven test assets and robust defect tracking across multiple project modules. Qualifications include 4-8 years in automation testing, strong test design capabilities, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Selenium Grid, and API testing.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of automation testing experience, including Selenium WebDriver and Specflow.
• Proficient in Java or C#, plus scripting languages.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Selenium Grid, performance testing and API testing.
• Experience with product-based testing and various testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Authors and executes automation test cases within the defined testing strategy.
• Creates test data and reusable data libraries to support test case execution.
• Collaborates with sprint test team to revise tests for accurate software testing.
• Uses QA tools for test planning, case authoring, execution and defect tracking.
• Reviews requirements for testability and ensures traceability to requirements.
• Participates in design/technical meetings with analysts and developers.
• Tests various modalities including unit, functional, non-functional, security and data validations.

Job Description:

• Authors and executes automation test cases for larger computer systems within the scope of a broader defined testing strategy.
• Ensures creation of test data to support test case execution and supports creation and maintenance of libraries of reusable test data sets.
• Work as part of sprint test team to gain necessary input and execute appropriate revisions to ensure accurate and complete software testing activities.
• Leverages quality engineering tools for test planning and management, test case authoring, test case execution and issue/defect tracking
• Performs review of deliverables produced by other members of the IT department throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle, for completeness and detail ensuring the specifications are of a high quality and can be used to write test scripts. May participate in technical meetings with Business Analysts and Developers
• Reviews requirements specifications for testability and verifying/ensuring traceability of testing to requirements and vice versa
• Possess a detailed understanding of the requirements elicitation, analysis, and specification process including user requirement specifications and functional specifications for larger, complex applications.
• Reports status, progress and concerns in a proactive, consistent and accurate manner to the QA Lead.
• Perform different types of testing like unit, functional, non-functional, security and data validations.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in Automation Testing Technologies like Selenium Webdriver testing including Selenium Xpaths, Specflow ,BDD Framework
• Programming Language: Java, C#, Scripting Languages
• Good to have skills : CI/CD pipeline, Github, Selenium Grid, Performance testing & API testing
• Experience with Product based testing and different testing methodology
• Ability to deconstruct problems/systems into smaller components; organize components as part of larger system
• Demonstrate and articulate the application of logical, analytical thought to a testing issues
• Excellent oral/written interpersonal skills; user focused; work well with team members.
• Very strong knowledge/skills around test case creation and test execution; ability to create and execute test cases as part of broader testing strategy. Test case creation and execution would be for discreet portions or multiple portions of larger sized systems that are complex and may interface with other products
• Ability to author and execute test cases as well as to assist in authoring test plans and strategies and coordinate testing and testing assignments; Requires minimal technical instructions and guidance with complex tasks
• Involved in the Designing, Preparing, Execution and Maintenance of the test cases.
