Job summary

R1 RCM India is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Noida to design and implement scalable automation using Playwright and C#. The role focuses on building robust test frameworks and ensuring software quality across UI, API, and end-to-end workflows.

Candidates should have 3-8 years of experience in QA, strong scripting in C#, and hands-on testing across cloud-based environments. You will collaborate with product and development teams to deliver reliable, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and C#.
• Create detailed test plans, strategies, scenarios and test cases.
• Perform manual testing across features and conduct regression testing.
• Develop and execute automated test suites for UI, API, and end-to-end flows.
• Conduct performance and security testing and validate cloud environments.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce defects and provide quality feedback.
• Prepare status reports and quality metrics for releases.

Position: Test Automation Engineer

Experience: 3-8 Years

Location: Noida

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and C#.
• Create, review, and execute detailed test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform comprehensive manual testing for new features, exploratory testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support.
• Develop and execute automated test suites for UI, API, and end-to-end workflows.
• Conduct Performance Testing, Security Testing, and Non-Functional Testing activities.
• Validate application functionality across web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud environments.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide early quality feedback during design and development phases.
• Generate daily, weekly, and release-level status reports, quality metrics, defect trends, and test execution summaries.

Required Skills

Testing & Quality Engineering

• Strong experience in Test Automation using Playwright. (Mandatory)
• Strong expertise in Test Case Design, Test Planning, Test Strategy creation, and Test Execution.
• Hands‑on experience in Manual Testing including Functional, Integration, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
• Experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Experience in UI Testing of web applications.
• Experience in Performance Testing tools such as JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or equivalent.
• Experience in Security Testing, OWASP guidelines, vulnerability assessment, and security validation.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar.

Programming & Automation

• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET.
• Experience with automation frameworks, design patterns, and reusable test architecture.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Database

• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL querying and database validation skills.
• Working knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices testing.
• Good understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, and AI‑assisted development.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI tools.
• Exposure to Vibe Coding and leveraging AI to accelerate test automation development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building Playwright frameworks from scratch.
• Exposure to AI-driven testing solutions and self-healing automation.
• Experience testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
• Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
