Job summary

Profilent seeks an experienced Automation Specialist to design, build, and maintain scalable automations across our tech stack. You will work with business, product, operations, and tech teams to identify repetitive processes, eliminate manual tasks, and implement robust automation solutions.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Zapier, n8n, APIs, webhooks, and SaaS integrations, and be able to translate business processes into reliable workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in automation, integrations, workflow engineering, or related tech roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Zapier and n8n.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, HTTP methods, JSON, OAuth/API authentication, and API testing.
• Experience integrating multiple SaaS platforms and business applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Understanding of data transformation, conditional logic, loops, filters, and error handling.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic software development practices.
• Ability to understand technical documentation and third‑party API specs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automation workflows using Zapier, n8n, and similar platforms.
• Integrate SaaS apps, internal systems, databases, and third-party services via REST APIs, webhooks, and connectors.
• Analyze processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Build robust workflows with triggers, actions, conditional logic, data transformation, approvals, notifications, and error handling.
• Develop custom integrations where native connectors are unavailable.
• Work with JSON, REST APIs, HTTP requests, authentication, and webhooks.
• Troubleshoot failed workflows, API errors, data inconsistencies, and integration issues.
• Implement monitoring, logging, retries, alerts, and safeguards for reliability.
• Maintain documentation for workflows, integrations, dependencies, and business logic.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
• Continuously evaluate new automation and AI tools to improve efficiency.
