Birlasoft in Bengaluru, India is seeking an Automation Selenium-Technical Specialist for Testing Services to lead end-to-end automation initiatives. The role emphasizes Playwright with TypeScript and Python for building and maintaining automated test frameworks from scratch.

The candidate will design UI and API tests, implement POM-based architectures, and apply SQL/database testing with Oracle. Experience with AI chatbots testing and complex data validation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience in Playwright with TypeScript and Python.
• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficient in UI, API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright.
• Python-based automation development, scripting and test framework implementation.
• Fixture-based test architecture and Page Object Model design patterns.
• Strong SQL and database testing skills; Oracle DBs preferred.
• Experience testing AI Chatbots, Conversational AI, or GenAI-powered apps.
• Ability to validate complex business rules, workflows and data integrity across systems.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Automation – Playwright: Hands-on automation across UI and API.
