Job summary

QuidelOrtho is hiring for a Laboratory IT and LIS specialist to support customers and field engineers with LIS issues across our product portfolio. You will enable seamless middleware integrations, address complex network connectivity, and deploy patches to ensure uninterrupted lab workflows.

The role involves collaborating with Sales, Service, FAS, and Automation teams to provide high-level IT consultation, and building dashboards using SQL or Power BI from LIS data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems/Hospital Information System.
• Proficiency in ASTM/ASTM-IP/HL7 Protocols.
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, and Firewall configurations.
• Proficiency in SQL/Sea shark/Mirth interface software

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to customers and field engineers for LIS issues across the QO portfolio.
• Facilitate seamless middleware integration with customer IT and LIS vendor.
• Address and resolve complex network connectivity between customer LIS and analyzers/middleware to ensure uninterrupted workflows.
• Deploy software patches during integration of analyzers or middleware systems to meet client requirements and hardware configurations.
• Partner with Sales, Service, FAS, and Automation teams to lead IT consultations and technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.
• Leverage LIS data to design and maintain dashboards/reports—using SQL, Power BI, or specialized laboratory software.
• Create digital tools/platforms for internal and external customers.
• Ensure all Value-Added Services and custom software plugins adhere to international medical data privacy regulations and cybersecurity standards.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive technical assistance to customers and field engineers, resolving Laboratory Information System (LIS) issues across the entire QO product portfolio.


• Facilitate seamless middle ware integration for customers working closely with customer IT department and LIS vendor.


• Address and resolve complex network connectivity challenges between customer LIS and Analyzers / middle ware to ensure uninterrupted laboratory workflows.


• Deploy software patches during the integration of Analyzers or middle ware systems to meet specific client requirements and hardware configurations.


• Partner with Sales, Service, Field Application Specialists (FAS), and Automation teams to lead high-level IT consultations and technical discussions with customers & key stakeholders.


• Leverage LIS data to design and maintain sophisticated dashboards and visual reports—utilizing SQL, Power BI, or specialized laboratory software.


• Creating digital tools/platforms for internal and external customers


• Ensure all Value-Added Services and custom software plugins adhere to rigorous international medical data privacy regulations and cybersecurity standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ Years of Experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems/Hospital Information System.
